'Grenola Figlet' and 'Bouf' are the names my cousins used to affectionately call their Gran and Grandad(my Great-Aunt)respectively. I took the Grandparents' fictional names and created a story around their characters which was fictional in the main, but based on some elements of truth(My Aunt did work at Marianne's and my Uncle did work at Perth Prison). The guitar part evoked a kind of 'Shanty' type feel to the song and I decided to put strings on the track to enhance that feel. Mikey Kenney's string arrangement and playing on this song blows me a way every listen.
